About Face Masks

Since I started making masks for friends and family, others have asked if I have them available for sale. I have gone through a few iterations of this design with the help of family members, friends who have to work in the service industry in 8 hour shifts (some in kitchens), and myself of course. I used the same techniques I have always used as a designer of clothes, lingerie and corsets: fit, sturdiness, testing and tweaking based on feedback. I am pretty pleased with the design I have come up with.

Most of these masks are one of a kind. I am using my own quilting cotton stash that I have been collecting for years. I have been making them batches, and releasing them on my Instagram as needed. Feel free to DM me there or use the contact form here to inquire about what I have available.

I am offering these for pay what you can + shipping. Local pickup is available. I accept the following forms of payment: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and cash for local pick up only.

Design Features:

• 2 layers of 100% Cotton fabric with all the seams topstitched for durability, and to keep its shape through multiple washings. (either hand wash in hot water or in a lingerie bag in the washing machine, so the nose wire doesn’t get mangled)
• Covers your face from the top of your nose to under your chin with enough space inside to talk.
• 2mm elastic that loops around your ears; with it left untied to adjust to fit. (I recommend a square knot so it can be tucked inside the side channels)
• Aluminum nose bar that bends to fit over the bridge of your nose. (aluminum does not rust)
• Open side channels to replace elastic or switch out with your preferred type of fastening material. (please note: only elastic will be provided)
• 2 sizes: M fits most women and men L for larger heads or bushy beards. (see photos below the last photo is the comparison between the regular and large. the photos of me and B are us modeling the regular size mask).

*Please do your research about face masks; they are not a fool-proof way to protect yourself from Covid-19. Social distancing, and everyone wearing masks together help prevent the spread of the disease. Be safe out there.
